SWLYB Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

Welcome to SWLYB Spring baseball. If you're a returning player and staying in the same division, you will return to your rostered team from Spring/Summer 2025.  All players who do not wish to return to their rostered team MUST notify the league through email AND attend the evaluation and re-enter the draft.  All players moving up into a new division MUST attend the Evaluation.  Evaluation date is 3/8/26.  Time and location TBD.  If your child is a T-Ball or Rookie age player, you do not evaluate and will be placed on rosters.  

We cannot honor ride along requests or sibling requests unless the siblings are of the same league age and or playing in the T-Ball Division ONLY (no ride along requests above T-Ball).  Sorry, no exceptions.  Enrollment is limited.

You will need the following equipment: Batting Helmet with face guard, grey baseball pants, rubber baseball cleats (optional in T-Ball), bat, and glove. Optional equipment: bat bag, belt, baseball socks. Uniform provided: jersey and hat.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Important dates to remember!: Minor/Prep/Major Evaluations: 3/8; T-Ball/Rookie Parent Meeting: 3/15; Opening Day: 4/18; Tournament games: 6/8-6/12
  • How often will we practice/ play games?: Practice and game schedules will be available once teams have been drafted. You will practice twice a week until games start. Games will be played in the park Mon-Sat and you will play twice a week. The divisions will have the field on the following days: T-Ball - Mon, Wed, and Sat. Rookie - Tues, Thur, and Sat. Minor - Mon, Thur, Sat. Prep - Tues, Thur, Sat. Major - Mon, Thur, Sat.
  • Do I need to volunteer?: Yes. SWLYB is a volunteer league. We have several volunteer opportunities available through out the baseball season. We ask that if you're not coaching or assisting you volunteer (1) time at least.
  • After I enroll, what's next?: You will receive email updates regarding important dates and times. Once teams have been drafted you will be contacted by your coach and notified your team site is live.
  • When does T-Ball practice start?: T-Ball will start practices after SWL Schools Spring Break.
  • What if I can't attend the evaluation?: If you cannot attend the evaluation, you will be placed on a team.
  • Why do you limit enrollment?: We limit enrollment based on the number of volunteer coaches we have available. We also limit the number of teams to make scheduling games and practices at reasonable times during the school year.
  • What happens at Evaluations?: Players will go through some basic drills, which include fielding ground balls and fly balls, as well as batting. Older players will throw a few pitches. Bring a glove, helmet and a bat. Indoor shoes are required as evaluations are inside a gym.
